Alba Brugueras Fabre has a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, she has doctoral studies in International Business from the same institution, and a Ph.D. in Language Research from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. She has worked for nearly 20 years as an economist and consultant in economic affairs and market studies. She is co-founder of the strategic business consulting firm Top Brains Group, is a collaborator at the Caribbean Analysis Unit, worked at H. Calero Consulting Group and in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology at the Agricultural Experiment Station of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. She was president of the Association of Economists of Puerto Rico for the years 2018-2019 and 2020-2021 and is treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Society for Legal Assistance of Puerto Rico. She currently works as a professor in the Department of Business Administration, where she teaches courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Among its main areas of interest and research are health, agriculture, economic development, foreign investment, labor market, entrepreneurship, sustainable development, education and gender. He has presented at local and international conferences such as the University of Sustainable Development Congress in Havana, Cuba, Sustainability, Ethics & Entrepreneurship Conference, the Annual Symposium of the Faculty Resource Network of New York University, the International Conference on Technology, Education and Development in Valencia, Spain, the Association of Economists of Latin America and the Caribbean, the Hispanic Educational Technology Services Conference, at the International Conference on Sustainability, Technology and Education, and was invited as a keynote speaker at the International Conference on Research in Business, Management, and Finance in Brussels, among others. Dr. Brugueras Fabre is a reviewer for the magazine US-China Education Review (ISSN 2161-623X and 2161-6248) and a member of the Scientific Committee of the International Conference on Research in Business, Management, and Finance.
