Amelisse de Jesús Dávila, Ph.D.

Dr. De Jesús completed a Doctor of Philosophy degree with a specialization in Social Policy Analysis and Administration, a Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in Social Services Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Social Welfare. All of these degrees were obtained from the Beatriz Lassalle Graduate School of Social Work at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. She has more than 20 years of experience as a professor of Social Work, teaching courses on social policy, oppression, human rights, group method, and community organization. In addition, she has extensive experience supervising students in supervised internships and research projects, both at the bachelor's and master's levels. For more than a decade, she has led academic efforts as coordinator of the Bachelor of Social Work program at our institution.
