Dr. Sánchez completed her Ph.D. in Health Sciences at the University of Malaga, Spain. At the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, she obtained her master's degree in Nursing with a specialty in Family Practice, and a bachelor's degree in Nursing Sciences. She has twelve years of experience as a nursing professor and has distinguished herself for her pedagogical innovation strategies in her teaching practice. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the College of Nursing Professionals of Puerto Rico and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
