FEDERAL FINANCIAL AID

How to request?

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The process for obtaining federal financial aid begins when you file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Aid) for each academic year. You can complete the FAFSA electronically by accessing www.studentaid.gov. The website allows you to select whether you want to complete the application in English or Spanish. You will also find online support via chat in Spanish.

To complete the FAFSA, the student and his or her parents (if the student is a dependent student) must apply for a Personal Student Identification Card (“FSAID”) which they will use to electronically sign their FAFSA application, entrance counseling, and promissory note required for student loans.

Eligibility will depend on the student's financial need, using a federal government formula determined by the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC).
