Cassandra Vega holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University with a special emphasis in community development and is an active member of the Botín Foundation Alumni Network, SHRM, and NACE. She has over twelve years of experience in the third sector with an emphasis on career services, talent development, proposal writing, fund management, community development, and compliance. She has worked in the Development Unit of the Center for Volunteer Development as an AmeriCorps VISTA Member, Assistant Coordinator of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP1 and NSP3) at the Office of the Commissioner of Municipal Affairs, Compliance Officer at the Sila M. Calderón Foundation, and as Director of Grants at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón Heart.
She has been awarded several scholarships to represent Puerto Rico in academic forums and programs, including: The Washington Center's Córdova Fernós Congressional Internship Program, the Brown University and Botín Foundation's Public Service Strengthening Program, and the Creating Public Value: Challenges for Management and Public Policy program of the International Academic Program of the Autonomous University of Madrid and Harvard University.
En Sagrado She has served as Director of the Center for Professional and International Experiences (CEPI). At the Center, she promoted the agenda of Sagrado Careers and Sagrado International to help students achieve their career goals through career preparation services and study abroad experiences.
Currently, in her role as Vice President of Development and University Relations at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón Corazón leads comprehensive efforts that foster long-term philanthropic commitment and investments that support the mission.
