Information Technology and Integrated Technology

As part of the services, it provides support to the academy by managing a computer laboratory that has:

  • An area with microcomputers.
  • 30 PCs and black and white and color laser printers for student use.
  • A “Media Lab” for students majoring in computer science and computer science.
  • A teamwork area that has 15 MACs for student use (Lab3).

It also manages:

  • 2 laboratories adjacent to the main laboratory, one equipped with 20 PCs and the other with 20 MACs.
  • 7 microcomputer rooms and 3 conference rooms equipped for presentations on the second floor of the Building
    San Miguel.
  • A microcomputer room and 3 conference rooms equipped for presentations on the second floor of the building
    Saint Joseph.
  • A conference room equipped for presentations in SC101.

Additionally, it provides service and support to faculty and students in the following areas:

  • Administration, configuration and maintenance of facilities, equipment and available programming.
  • Administration of the WEB server of the pages of the Sagrado Corazón and the WEB server (Intranet) for internal dissemination.
  • Development and maintenance of the administrative and internal WEB presence: Intranet, WEB registration, WEB administrative and academic services.
  • Administration of the distance education courses server.
  • Email services to faculty, students and administration.
  • Management of technological classrooms and laboratories.
  • Institutional network administration.
  • Administration of institutional servers
  • Administration of security services and access to servers/services.
  • Advice on the purchase and installation of equipment and programs, as well as help in solving technical problems related to equipment and programming.
  • Support to faculty with equipment and programs for the development of research in various disciplines.
  • Communication infrastructure with the Internet and local networks.
  • Training the administrative community with new techniques, concepts and skills in computer technology through microseminars and group and individual training.
  • Installation of: equipment and programming, connection lines and peripheral equipment.
  • Development, modification and integration of applications for administrative processes.
  • Generation of institutional statistics.
  • Training in the use of application programs for administrative or academic/administrative staff.
  • Data transfer and conversion.
  • Advice on the preparation of promotional and other material.
  • Talks and guidance regarding the services offered by the Center.
  • Talks and guidance regarding Institutional Policies related to Information Systems.
  • IT Resource Planning to support institutional functions.
