Dr. Jelitza Soto Román completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico at Río Piedras. She also holds a Master's degree in Social Work with a focus on families, adolescents, and children, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the same institution. In her 15 years of experience as a teacher, she has served as program coordinator and social work internship supervisor. Her areas of academic and professional interest include research on topics related to the manifestations of human diversity, human rights and their implications for social relations, and the promotion of social justice.
