Camelia Fernández Romeu holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico and a Bachelor of Arts degree in public communication from American University in Washington, DC. She has more than 20 years of experience in private practice, public service, and the corporate field. She was associate director of legal affairs at Merck, Sharp & Dohme, with responsibility over Puerto Rico and Latin America. Previously, she served as assistant attorney general for the Department of Justice and was part of the Del Toro & Santana law firm. She also has a certificate in alternative dispute resolution from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Law.
