Nadesha Karina González holds a PhD in Philosophy and Letters with a specialty in Puerto Rican and Caribbean Literature from the Center for Advanced Studies of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Her doctoral thesis focused on sociopolitical representation in Dominican short stories in the 1960s. She completed a Master's degree in Spanish Literature at New York University and a Bachelor's degree in Public Communication at the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras. She also holds an Associate Degree in Humanities from the University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla.
In the field of higher education, undergraduate and graduate, she has taught courses in the areas of Communications, Literature and Spanish Language in various institutions in the country. She has also held administrative positions within academia. She is also a communications professional with twenty years of experience in audiovisual and print media in Puerto Rico and the United States. During that period she worked successfully as a radio, print and television journalist. In addition, she has directed several lifestyle publications.
