Nadesha Karina González Nieves has a Ph.D. in philosophy and letters from the Center for Advanced Studies of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, with a specialty in Puerto Rican and Caribbean literature. Her doctoral thesis dealt with sociopolitical representation in Dominican short stories in the 1960s. She received a master’s degree in Spanish literature from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in public communication from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras campus. Furthermore, she has an associate degree in humanities from the University of Puerto Rico, Aguadilla campus.
In higher education, she has taught courses in communication, literature, and Spanish at the undergraduate and graduate levels in various institutions on the Island. Likewise, she has held administrative positions in academia. Nadesha is a communication professional with 20 years of experience in audiovisual and print media in Puerto Rico and the United States. She has been a successful radio, written press, and television journalist and directed several lifestyle publications.
