Richard Rivera-Cardona is a professor, communicator and editorial coach. Winner of the Overseas Press Club of Puerto Rico's Award for Journalistic Excellence (2014) and the Eleventh World Oral Short Story Championship (2016). He holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism, a master's degree in Creative Writing and a second master's degree in Digital Narratives from the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón Heart. He is the author of the book of short stories jump into the void (2018) and the novel Moonstone (2020), both awarded at the International Latino Book Awards (2019 and 2021) in Los Angeles, California. He has been secretary (2018) and vice president (2020) of PEN de Puerto Rico International, the oldest writers organization in the country. He is the maintainer of Narrándonos.com, a digital platform specialized in contemporary Puerto Rican literature and communication tools, with readers in more than 20 countries.
