Upward Bound Program
UNIVERSIDAD DEL SAGRADO CORAZÓN
La Universidad del Sagrado Corazón It has had a program proposal for 50 years. TrioUpward Bound is a federally funded program run by the U.S. Department of Education. Its goal is to provide students in participating high schools with the academic skills necessary to successfully complete high school and to assist them in gaining admission to post-secondary education.
Since its inception, Upward Bound has impacted hundreds of young Puerto Ricans by helping them achieve their academic, personal and professional goals.
Program Benefits
We offer services to students in grades nine through twelve to help improve their academic performance, define their vocational goals, and facilitate their entry into post-secondary educational institutions (University).

Saturday Academy (Spanish, English, Math, Science and Technology courses)
Tutoring and supervised assignments

Academic, sociocultural, personal, athletic and leadership activities
"Bridge" (university course)

REQUIREMENTS
Being ninth or tenth grade students
Be residents of Santurce
Overall average: 2.50 or more
Low economic income
First generation (parents or guardians have not completed a college degree)
