Nitza Luna is a professor at the School of Arts, Design and Creative Industries. She is curator of photography at the Museo de Arte de Ponce and guest curator at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico in San Juan. Throughout her years of experience, he has participated in solo and group exhibitions, both in Puerto Rico and abroad. She received an honorable mention in ‘New Photography’ at the Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona, California, and won first prize in the Fifth Journalistic Photography Contest in the Landscape and Nature category for the 1995 edition in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her publications include Where do we come from and where are we going? Notes on the evolution of photography in Puerto Rico, Las artes visuales puertorriqueñas a principios del siglo XXI, Editorial del Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña, Nitza Luna, Puerto Rican Institute of Culture.among others. She holds a BFA in Painting and Photography from the Pratt Institute in New York and an MFA from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California.
