Aurorisa Mateo is the Academic Leader of Design and Visual Culture at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. She is an architect, designer, researcher of Puerto Rican and Latin American design, and a teacher and consultant in technical design for objects and packaging. She holds a master’s degree in architecture from the Architectural Association in London, UK, and a bachelor’s degree in environmental design from the School of Architecture at the University of Puerto Rico.
She was previously an associate professor and the founding dean of the International School of Design and Architecture at UAGM, Gurabo campus. When she’s not designing, she enjoys baking bread and pizza or practicing fencing.
