MSCHE accreditation ensures that Universidad del Sagrado Corazón meets the highest standards of quality and effectiveness across all aspects of its operations.
Sagrado’s 2027 Self-Study
Universidad del Sagrado Corazón is proud to be undergoing its reaffirmation of accreditation with MSCHE as part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, transparency, and mission-centered education. The Self-Study allows us to reflect deeply on our achievements, challenges, and future direction.
The Self-Study focuses on four institutional priorities aligned with Sagrado’s mission, vision, and strategic plan, Sagrado 2030:
- Enhance Academic Excellence through Experiential Learning
- Strengthen Student Support Networks
- Foster Community Engagement
- Enhance and Align Institutional Resources for Success
These priorities guide our institutional improvement efforts and structure the analysis conducted by our Self-Study Steering Committee and Working Groups.
Why It Matters
Accreditation is not simply a compliance process but a catalyst for growth. Through the Self-Study, Sagrado:
- Reflects as a community. Staff, faculty, and students collectively discuss our priorities, strengths, and opportunities as an institution.
- Affirms Quality: Ensures our academic programs, student services, and operations meet rigorous external standards.
- Promotes Improvement: Identifies areas for innovation and institutional growth aligned with community needs.
- Strengthens Trust: Assures students, families, employers, and partners of the value of a Sagrado education.
- Fulfills Our Mission: It deepens our commitment to educating individuals for intellectual freedom, moral conscience, and community solidarity.
- Secures Resources: Maintains eligibility for federal funding, research grants, and scholarships.
