Incentive plan to give hope to our students

Purpose of the program Sagrado achievements

The purpose of this program is to provide financial support to students so that they can complete their university career in Sagrado within the time established in their study plan. It aims to:

  • awarded-students

    Recognize students committed to their education who demonstrate good academic performance

  • ret percent

    Increase the percentage of students who persist in college semester after semester, year after year

  • gradpercent

    Increase the percentage of students who graduate

The college persistence and graduation rate in Puerto Rico continues to be low compared to the United States average.

What are the main reasons for dropping out of school?

    A high percentage of students drop out of school for financial reasons. The situation forces them to look for work to cover the costs that financial aid does not cover. The burden of studying and working in one or more jobs at the same time is often unmanageable.

To address the financial challenges of students, we have developed several important initiatives:

Development of basic financial literacy skills that allow the student to effectively manage their personal finances

Scholarship program aligned with the student support services component and the development of professional and personal skills

Honor and Persistence Incentive Program – a program that will support students by rewarding their persistence and academic work 

PROGRAMME SAGRADO ACHIEVERS

  • It encourages students to complete their study plan by maintaining a minimum enrollment of 14 credits per semester.
  • It is awarded at the beginning of the next semester ensuring that the student meets the established requirements.
  • Incentive applies to new and continuing students who are enrolled at the undergraduate level in the regular (non-accelerated) modality.

Economical support

The student receives the incentive based on his/her academic performance and persistence, which allows him/her to enroll in 14 or more credits with financial support.

STUDENT COMPLIES WITH HIS STUDY PLAN

Taking 14 or more credits allows you to complete your study plan and graduate in 4 or 5 years. It also allows you to participate in other types of personal and professional development experiences during the summer.

INCREASED % OF RETENTION AND GRADUATION

Financial support based on performance and number of credits enrolled will promote student retention and eventual graduation from Sagrado.
