Angela M. Valentin Rodriguez

Teacher, researcher, poet and musician. She studied a bachelor's degree in Philosophy and a master's degree in Hispanic Studies at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. She obtained a doctorate in Literature of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean at the Center for Advanced Studies of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. She published the poetry collections Unfinished ideas (Victoria, 2010), Tacos (EDP, 2015), The book of silences (EDP, 2018), Ars Mortis (EDP, 2021), The words of oblivion (Lola, 2021), the latter two awarded with Honorable Mention at the ILBA 2022, and the children's stories Grandpa's Wings (EDP, 2015) and No one else is like you (Roelibros, 2019). From 2018-2021, she was Coordinator of the Curricular Sequence of Literary and Cultural Studies on Women and Gender at UPR RUM. She has published her academic and creative works in various magazines and literary anthologies in Puerto Rico and abroad. She is a violinist, vocalist, and composer for several Puerto Rican artists.
