Extracurricular Experiences
Sagrado It is the first and only university in Puerto Rico to have an alliance with the Peace Corps.
Sagrado Peace Corps Prep
Peace Corps Prep (PC Prep) is a certificate program for college students focused on one empowering question: How can you prepare to be a change agent and make a difference in the world?
The PC Prep program:
- It is aligned with the curriculum of Sagrado.
- Encourages students to integrate academic work with practical experiences and professional development.
- It prepares you to respond to the demands of the labor market.
Peace Corps has identified three core competencies that are critical to becoming an effective professional in cross-cultural workplaces, including working as a Peace Corps Volunteer, and which PC Prep participants will develop as part of the program:
Training in a work sector
intercultural competence
Professionalism and leadership
Upon completion of the program, participants will:

Projects for Peace
Projects for Peace It is a global program that supports proposals led by university students aimed at promoting peace and generating a positive impact in their communities. Each year, approximately 125 student proposals are selected, and each student receives $10,000 to implement their projects during the summer. Sagrado It is the first and only university in Puerto Rico to have this program.
Eligibility:
- Students from any academic year can apply, although we suggest they be in their second year or higher.
- Open to students of any nationality
- Students of any age, concentration, or academic level can participate, including senior students who plan to implement their project during the summer after graduation.
- Projects can be developed individually or in collaboration with other students of Sagrado
Although projects can be carried out anywhere in the world, we suggest focusing on communities in Puerto Rico.
En Sagrado A preliminary internal selection process is conducted to evaluate proposals submitted by students. As a result of this process, up to two projects are selected to represent the university internationally in the initiative. Projects for Peace.
