Aurorisa Mateo is the Academic Leader of Design and Visual Culture at the Universidad del Sagrado CorazónShe is also an architect, designer, researcher of Puerto Rican and Latin American design, professor, and consultant in the technical design of objects and packaging. She holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Architectural Association in London, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design from the School of Architecture at the University of Puerto Rico.

Previously, she was an associate professor and founding dean of the International School of Design and Architecture at UAGM, Gurabo campus. When she is not designing, she is baking bread and pizza or practicing fencing.
