Carlos Agustín Muñiz Osorio, Ed.D., is a native of the coastal town of Dorado, Puerto Rico. He has more than XNUMX years of experience in educational initiatives across multiple levels, encompassing the design, adaptation, and coordination of workshops and educational activities, as well as the development and delivery of courses, research, assessment, and both formal and informal learning experiences at the national and international levels.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Education with a concentration in Biology, as well as a Master's and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Biology, all from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus.

Throughout his professional career, he has worked as an educational consultant for various learning communities in the areas of science, research, sustainable development, and educational assessment, as well as in the design of teaching resources. He joined the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón In 2005, he was Director of the Department of Education between 2015 and 2017 and has taught around 20 courses on various topics and disciplines.

Her main areas of interest and research include STEM studies, ecopedagogy, peace education, sustainable development, ecopacifism, the relationship between genocide and ecocide, agroecology, and the Earth Charter. She also collaborates with various organizations, including the UNESCO Chair in Peace Education at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus; the Earth Charter; the International Institute for Peace Education (IIPE); the International Peace Research Association (IPRA); Projects for Peace; and Amnesty International, Puerto Rico Section, through its EcoPeace Project.
