The Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Literature prepares students with the knowledge and skills necessary to critically understand the process of literary creation and begin professional writing in fiction and nonfiction genres (short story, novel, poetry, memoir, and screenplay).

Curriculum

The curriculum integrates the study of literature from different traditions written or translated into Spanish. In turn, through various workshops, students explore the structure and technical elements of different genres in order to develop their own original texts. The exploration of the relationship between creative writing and literature with related disciplines such as journalism and digital narratives is encouraged.

Duration and Modality

The 120-credit Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Literature is to be completed in 4 years. Courses and workshops are offered in person.

To broaden the understanding of creative writing as an artistic and interdisciplinary practice that connects with knowledge and practices from other areas, such as journalism, strategic communication and audiovisual production.
Emphasize the role of the creative writer in the cultural ecosystem, as well as in different sectors and industries in which he acts as a manager and facilitator of the transmission of ideas and concepts.
