Karla Aguirre Astacio holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. She has over 23 years of experience in operational, financial, and compliance auditing, including more than 20 years in leadership roles and 15 years in the higher education industry. She is a Certified Internal Controls Auditor (CICA). She has worked in diverse areas and environments of internal and external auditing, demonstrating an excellent track record of professional achievements and compliance.

Currently, as Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration, she leads the university's financial and administrative strategy and management, overseeing strategic planning, budget management, enrollment management, technology development, business operations, and facilities.
