Karla M. Ayala Lebron, Ed.D. 

Academic Language Leader

Dr. Karla Ayala Lebrón is an Assistant Professor of English and Academic Leader of Languages ​​at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón Corazón, where she is dedicated to teaching, academic leadership, and promoting bilingual learning. She earned her PhD in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning Environments, with a specialization in Second Language Acquisition, from Ana G. Méndez University.

With over 14 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and 4 years in leadership roles in higher education, Dr. Ayala has specialized in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, as well as educational project management and the integration of innovative language learning strategies. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, with a strong track record in effective communication, problem-solving, and strategic planning.

Her academic work is geared towards creating inclusive environments that foster educational excellence and the comprehensive development of students. In addition, she has led initiatives that connect learning with the current needs of higher education, promoting linguistic and cultural skills necessary for the globalized world.
