Luis Daniel Muñiz-Martínez holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus and a Juris Doctor, Summa Cum Laude, from the School of Law of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ponce. In public service, he served as Deputy Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company from 2013-2016, was Advisor to the Governor of Puerto Rico in the areas of Infrastructure, Urban Planning and Environment from 2007-2008, and was Director of Planning, Financial Incentives and Development for the Puerto Rico Tourism Company from 2006-2007.
In the private sector, he worked for the firms Maymí & Rivera, LLC, McConnell Valdés, Around the World Holdings LLC and his own legal services and consulting firm. His main areas of practice are corporate law, business development, commercial financing, real estate and property law, obligations and contracts, trademark matters, tourism and environmental law.
Mr. Muñiz has been a professor at the School of Law of the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras, the University of Sagrado Corazón and at the School of Architecture of the Pontifical Catholic University in Ponce. He was a member of the Board of Directors of “Discover Puerto Rico.”
Currently, in his role as General Legal Advisor of Sagrado is in charge of all legal matters of the University, as well as the areas of compliance, internal audit and institutional integrity.
