Luis Daniel Muñiz-Martínez has a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus, and a Juris Doctor, Summa Cum Laude, from the School of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Ponce. In public service, he worked as Deputy Director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company from 2013-2016, as Advisor to the Governor of Puerto Rico in the areas of Infrastructure, Urban planning, and Environment from 2007-2008, and as Director of Planning, Financial Incentives, and Development for the Puerto Rico Tourism Company from 2006-2007.
In the private sector, he worked for Maymí & Rivera, LLC, McConnell Valdés, Around the World Holdings LLC, and his legal services and consulting firm. His primary practice areas are corporate law, business development, commercial financing, real estate law, obligations and contracts, trademark matters, tourism, and environmental law.
The Atty. Muñiz has been a professor at the School of Law of the University of Puerto Rico in Río Piedras, the University of Sagrado Corazón, and the School of Architecture of the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Ponce. He was a member of the “Discover Puerto Rico” Board of Directors.
As Sagrado’s General Legal Advisor, he is in charge of all the university’s legal matters, including compliance, internal audits, and institutional integrity.
