Director Colón holds a doctorate in Nursing Practice from Johns Hopkins University in the United States, a master's degree in Nursing from the University of Puerto Rico, a bachelor's degree in nursing from Columbia University in Puerto Rico, and an associate degree in nursing from the University of Puerto Rico. She is licensed to practice her profession in both Puerto Rico and the United States. She has 30 years of experience in which she has developed and directed strategic plans, operations related to the management and administration of nursing services, patient care, access to health care, and workforce issues, in support of strategy and market demands.
