Mariliana Torres began her career in the media 30 years ago, standing out as a reporter and presenter at Telemundo, WAPA TV and WOLE TV, Aguadilla. In 1996, she joined WLII Teleonce as an anchor for Las Noticias Fin de Semana and the Nocturna Edition. Later, with the arrival of Univisión to Puerto Rico, she continued as an anchor for its newscasts for 18 years, covering news in Miami, California and New York. In addition, she was a columnist for the newspaper Metro Puerto Rico for 8 years. Currently, Dr. Torres is an Assistant Professor at the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón Corazón, and remains active in independent journalism, collaborating with Univisión and the BeHealth Puerto Rico portal.
