Marlene J. Colón Torres is an industrial-organizational psychologist. She obtained her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, and her master's and doctoral degrees from the Metropolitan Campus of the Interamerican University. She also holds a coaching certification. Her doctoral thesis focused on the study of the organizational culture of the creative industries in Puerto Rico. She has more than 17 years of experience working in the areas of organizational development and human resources in different private, governmental, and non-profit industries. She has been a university professor and mentor of future health professionals. Her career reflects her interest in topics of innovation and creativity, characteristic of the country's artistic and cultural industry. She collaborated with the Puerto Rico Community Foundation as a liaison for a creative industries development project in Santurce, with Inversión Cultural as coordinator of the Nido Cultural program, and with the Center for the Creative Economy as a mentor in the Maniobra program, dedicated to salary justice in the cultural field and the promotion of artistic projects. Since 2011, she has served as a facilitator of continuing education professional development courses in the program Sagrado Global of our University.
