Melani Ciuro is a registered nurse and educator with experience in both clinical and academic settings. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Adult and Geriatric Nursing from the Medical Sciences Campus.
Her professional background includes experience in various areas of nursing practice, including emergency room, dialysis, and case management. In academia, she serves as a nursing professor, where she integrates her clinical experience with a strong commitment to the comprehensive training of future healthcare professionals.
She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP), with a special interest in nursing education, the development of critical thinking, and the incorporation of innovative strategies and emerging technologies in teaching and learning processes.
Her educational philosophy is based on academic excellence, critical thinking, evidence-based practice, and compassionate care. As an educator, she strives to inspire in her students a commitment to ethical, competent professional practice focused on the needs of the patient and society.
