Nancy I. Green Laureano, MSN, BSN, RN, is an Associate Professor in the Nursing Program within the School of Health and Sciences at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, with a specialization in Adult and Older Adult Care and preparation for the nurse educator role.
Professor Green has more than 37 years of professional experience in healthcare and higher education. Her background includes clinical practice in intensive care, emergency nursing, cardiovascular surgery, and neurosurgery, as well as extensive experience in nursing administration, curriculum development, distance education, and academic leadership. She served as Director of the Nursing Program at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón from 2017 to 2021. She currently teaches undergraduate nursing courses in online and flipped classroom formats while contributing to curriculum innovation, assessment, and accreditation initiatives within the Nursing Program.
Her areas of interest include nursing education, instructional design, active and inclusive learning strategies, curriculum development, student learning assessment, continuous quality improvement, distance education, artificial intelligence in higher education, and nursing program accreditation.
She currently serves as Chair of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Standard | Committee and as a member of the CCNE Standard IV Committee, contributing to the Nursing Program's continuous improvement and reaccreditation efforts.
Professor Green is certified in Effective Teaching by the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE). She actively participates in professional development initiatives focused on educational innovation, accessibility, evidence-based teaching practices, and emerging technologies that enhance student learning and success.
