Student Support Program
The Student Support Program (PAE) of the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón It provides guidance, mentoring, tutoring, technological support, financial planning, cultural activities and academic advising, career advising, personal and vocational counseling, among other academic services to facilitate retention, adjustment to university life, academic progress and graduation of its participants.

Mission
PAE supports first-generation college students, low-income students, and students with disabilities to achieve their academic, vocational, and personal goals through a variety of dynamic, high-quality services.
Services
Academic area
- Personalized instruction in English courses GCM 100 and GCM 102, Spanish 106 and GCM 101, and Math 100 and 102.
- Tutoring - Individual and group tutoring in basic and advanced English, Spanish, Science, Math, and other courses tailored to academic needs. Written work is reviewed, and workshops are offered on various topics related to the relevant academic area.
- Learning Center - Provides individual and group support to assist students in preparing assigned work. The Learning Center is equipped with computers, a printer, and more.
Orientation and Accompaniment
- Individual follow-up in academic advising, career advising, and personal and vocational counseling.
- Administration and interpretation of needs questionnaires and vocational tests.
- University Life Preparation Seminar (PVU).
- Workshops on study habits, anxiety, and other topics, tailored to student needs.
- Guidance on financial aid and assistance with completing the Federal Student Aid Application (FAFSA).
- Workshops on financial planning and literacy.
- USC Supplemental and/or Persistence Scholarship (if eligible).
- Activities for integration into university life.
- Forum/Panel with alumni of the Program.
Eligibility
Students interested in participating in the Program must be U.S. citizens living in the United States. They must also meet one or more of the following criteria, based on College Entrance Examination Board results (scores demonstrating academic need in the areas of English and/or Spanish and/or Mathematics).
- Have limited financial resources
- That neither of their parents has obtained a high school degree
- Medical condition requiring reasonable accommodation (medically certified)
Requirements
Once admitted to the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón and to meet the eligibility criteria, the student must:
Complete the application for admission to the Program and eligibility forms with the required evidence.
- Complete the needs questionnaire.
- Submit the following documents:
- Birth certificate, naturalization certificate, or permanent resident card (as applicable).
- Social Security Card (for verification)
- Form or proof of income.
- Parent or guardian school year certification form
- College Board results.
- Medical evidence (if you have any impediment).
- Interview with a Program advisor.
