Master of Arts in Public Relations and Integrated Communication

This graduate program prepares professionals capable of leading and managing effective public relations and integrated communications projects for diverse audiences. The master's degree develops skills to critically analyze and establish solutions to crises and controversies in accordance with professional codes. Along with the execution of strategies, it is essential to measure performance through data analysis.

Curriculum

Public relations and integrated communication courses are integrated into the curriculum, combining both visions (integrated communication with an emphasis on the field of public relations). This master's degree does not require a thesis to complete the degree; the student completes a public relations and integrated communication plan. It is a professional master's degree with a methodological component that encourages practice and projects.

The master's degree also offers graduate students the option of obtaining a professional public relations license from the Department of State of Puerto Rico, which authorizes them to perform the functions of the profession.

Duration and modality

The Master of Arts in Public Relations and Integrated Communication consists of 24 credits to be completed in 4 quarters. All courses are offered remotely with synchronous interactions (virtual hybrid mode), which means that part of the experience is asynchronous through content and assignments through the Canvas educational platform, and the other part is synchronous through virtual meetings via ZOOM. Courses meet via videoconference at night (starting at 6:00 pm Puerto Rico time). Others are by arrangement and meet on previously agreed-upon days also via videoconference.
