Students interested in completing a minor to be certified on a transcript of credits must formally opt for it by completing the corresponding form at the Registrar's Office. Students may declare their minor(s) from their first year of study in consultation with their professional advisor or an academic advisor. Students whose study plan allows it may declare up to a maximum of two minors.
Minors consist of a minimum of 12 credits, as officially defined by the institution. In the event that a course from the minor and the major overlap, the student must request the director of the academic unit to which the course belongs to replace it with a course of the same level or higher. The courses that comprise the selected minor must be passed with a minimum grade of C.
